I have a nut allergy, can i still come for a treatment?
Whilst we use a variety of plant oils with many extracted from nuts in our formulations, we only use purified nut oils which have been winterised, deodorised and refined, a process to devoid them of protein particles which are the element responsible for causing allergies. Our certification confirms that any of the nut oils used in our products are free from allergens as listed in Annex III of Directive 2003/15/EC amending Directive Cosmetics 76/768/EC. The products using nut based oils contain no detectable amounts of proteins and consequently, for the overwhelming majority of people of people who are allergic to nuts Eve Taylor products products are suitable for those with nut intolerances or allergies.
Can Eve Taylor products be used whilst breastfeeding?
All skincare is suitable for use whilst breastfeeding and will not cause any detrimental effects due to the minimal amount of essential oils which are absorbed by the body. Spa Body exfoliants, treatment gels and moisturisers are also suitable for use. When performing body massage using body massage oil, or body treatments using a body serum, we recommend using Anti-Stress Body Massage Oil and Relaxing Body Serum No.10, and avoid any detoxifying or stimulating body massage oils or body serums during this time. The same applies for homecare recommendations.
Can Eve Taylor products be used during pregnancy?
The uncertainty of using aromatherapy based products during pregnancy arises from the use of essential oils; our products with a higher concentration of essential oils are found within our massage blends both pre-blended massage oils and aromatic face, and body serums. It is best to avoid massage within the first trimester. After the first trimester the least stimulating blends for massage are Soothing Massage Oil, Soothing Aromatic Serum, Anti-stress Body Massage Oil and Relaxing Body Serum.
